A number of C.A.R. priority bills were heard in the Legislature this week, including our sponsored bill AB 743 (Petrie-Norris) which seeks to authorize remote online notarization in California. Additionally, policy committees in the Legislature heard C.A.R.-opposed bills AB 1033 (Ting), which mandates the separate conveyance of ADUs that runs afoul of GSE lending standards, SB 395 (Wahab), which creates a statewide database of rental notices, and SB 466 (Wahab), which eviscerates the Costa-Hawkins Rental Housing Act.
