Protecting homeowners and property rights starts here!  Proposition 33 on the state ballot this November would repeal the Costa-Hawkins Rental Housing Act, allowing cities and counties to impose extreme rent control measures, without requiring a vote of the residents! The U.S. government’s 2024 fiscal year budget is set to expire at the end of September, and without a new spending bill, a federal shutdown could occur, impacting all but essential services. On September 18, Congress attempted to pass a six-month Continuing Resolution (CR) to fund the government, but it failed due to concerns about the duration and non-budgetary provisions. Congress now has until the end of the month to negotiate a new CR to prevent a shutdown.
