Northstar has a Defensible Space compliance process that must be met prior to the sale, transfer or exchange of ownership of any real property within the jurisdiction. (Condos and Townhomes are exempt) After receiving feedback over the last year from REALTORS, the Northstar Fire Department has made some revisions to the Real Estate Defensible Space Disclosure Form – which is the responsibility of the Buyer to complete prior to the close of escrow. They have also provided a Real Estate Defensible Space Disclosure Form Instruction Sheet that explains the revisions and how to correctly complete the disclosure form. Both documents are available on the Tahoe Sierra Board of REALTORS website under Frequently Used Forms.
