Enrollment in the new Covered California (Obamacare) starts in October for January 1, 2014. Prior medical conditions do not affect enrollment or price. Premiums are based upon age, location and plan choice only. You can choose a plan in or out of Covered California and as a REALTOR® you have a third option, the C.A.R. group plan. Premium Credits
Many people who earn up to 4 times a federal baseline income amount will qualify for medical insurance premium credits. These credits can be very large depending on the premium and the income of the applicant. For example, a family of four can earn up to $94,200 and receive a credit.
