As our busy summer season approaches, the Board wanted to put out a few helpful reminders.
When showing property, please leave the property the way you found it. If it was locked, be sure to lock it. If the lights were off, be sure to turn them off, etc. Also, please leave a card to let occupants know an agent was in the house and not a stranger.
Please be sure that when you enter a listing into the MLS with the How Shown instructions stating Lockbox, that there is a working lockbox on the property.
If you are unsure of what to put in a specific MLS listing field, please call the Board office. We are here to help.
If you are putting a home on tour, a tour registration form and a map from our MLS map book showing the location of the property is required.
At the Truckee Tour, the PUD General Manager has witnessed our exiting membership running across Donner Pass Road unsafely, and disregarding traffic rules, i.e. illegal U-turns. The GM says that if this continues, use of the room may be discontinued. Please be careful and obey the traffic laws.
Regarding pictures, please remember the MLS rule that at least one picture in your picture allotment must be a front entry picture. Signs featuring names and phone numbers are not allowed in MLS pictures.
Contact information and web addresses are not allowed in Public Remarks.
