The state legislative session is now in full swing. Bills have been introduced and hearings are starting to take place on several items of interest to REATLORS®.
C.A.R. is sponsoring several bills, including: AB 2592 (Grayson) Local Planning: Housing Elements: Affordable Housing; AB 2717 (Alvarez) Land Use: Housing Element; and AB 2992 (Nguyen) Real Estate Licenses.
C.A.R. is supporting AB 1865 (Patterson) Personal Income Taxes: Deductions: Homeownership Savings Accounts.
C.A.R. is also opposing several bills including: AB 2216 (Haney) Pets in Rental; SB 1103 (Menjivar) Onerous Requirements on Specified Commercial Landlords; and a DRE Budget “Trailer” Bill: License Fee Increase.
